Our Camps
Camps are intensive courses (of 3 to 5 days for 3 hours a day), that we run apart from the regular group lessons. Camps are run in the morning and/or early afternoon during school vacation seasons (Summer holidays, Spring holidays, Winter holidays). The purpose of the camps is to transfer as much knowledge as possible without compromising a playful and fun atmosphere.
Every day is divided into 3 different sessions of around 1 hour each: instruction on strategy and tactics, workbook assignments, over the board play and game analysis.
Between sessions there will be a snack break. Children will be offered kids snacks in individual packs/pieces and can also bring their own snacks (onigiri, bread, sandwiches etc.).
Please make sure to bring your own beverages for hydration.
Parents-caregivers will only be allowed in the club to drop off the kids and to pick them up. A visit in the middle of the camp (to bring food or drinks, for example) is completely fine, but only the trainers and students should stay in the club during the classes.
A participant who is currently, or had been in the past, a Caissa student should bring their latest Step book. Students who are new to Caissa we will be given their own workbook (cost: 2000 JPY) after a short assessment of their theoretical and practical skills.
The student ratio is 1 trainer for maximum 6 students. When over 6 students, there will be two coaches, and the total group will never be larger than 12 students.
