GETTING STARTED INSTRUCTIONS

Our classes will be provided through the Google MEET platform and the playing practice through https://lichess.org/

Students will receive a workbook we will send via mail.

For each group there is a link to the Google MEET lecture. No registration in Google MEET will be needed. Pupils should use the real name (at least first name) as username, to be easily identified by the coach.

We request students to enable their video for the coach to see if the lesson is following attentively. Students microphone can be activated by the coach to ask questions, otherwise only the coach sound will be active throughout the class.

When the lecture is about to finish, students will need to log in to Lichess for practice games supervised and commented in real time by the coach. Prior registration (free) is needed at https://lichess.org.

Please remember to register for a free account in https://lichess.org before the start of the first class.

There will be a maximum of 8 students per class. Students will interact with the coach in multiple ways (audio, video, answering questions on the screen etc.).

Each lesson is charged at a regular hourly fee of 2200 JPY (tax included).
Please note details regarding the process of "becoming a member" like a one-time initial administration fee and book charge for necessary workbook material.

Terms & Conditions
All our fees are not refundable, booked online or otherwise, e.g., payment by cash, credit card, Stripe or direct bank invoice.
Center group classes:

Make-up class: if a class is missed due to unavoidable personal circumstances, including sickness, within 30 days for students who are still enrolled, e.g., miss a class in February, can do make up in February if open space available in another group class, and/or can do make up in March if still a paying student March, and if an open space available in another group class.

To be warranted a make-up class a prior notice to Caissa not later than 24 hours before the class has to be given.

In the event of severe weather like typhoon or official warnings, lessons may be canceled. Please note that refunds will not be issued in such cases and there will be no make up class.

In case of the highly exceptional case Caissa needs to cancel a class, e.g., sudden illness of trainer, the fee of that class will be refunded.
Camps:
There will be no refund, credit, carry over or make-up classes in other camps, group or private classes for missed camp days.
Private classes:
Cancellations won’t have any charge if they are done 24 hours before the class. Otherwise, the full fee will be charged. But frequent cancellations might lead to assigning the time slot to another student.
Events:
Fees of tournaments or other activities will only be refunded if Caissa decides to cancel the event. In any other case, fees will be non refundable.
School classes - after school activities:
Different schools have different policies. Please check the page related to the school for further details.
Media Relations:
Caissa staff may take photographs, videos or live broadcast events like tournaments or camps. These may be published and used on websites, social media, video sites, journals, and other media. If not clearly stated differently by a participant in advance, it shall be seen as agreed on, that Caissa is entitled to the publication and live broadcasting of these photographs and videos as aforementioned.
